WANT YOUR EVENT ON FoE?

Not every event on Friends of Ellis has to be an official FoE production. Sometimes our members just want to get people together.

YOU HOST IT. FoE MAY BE ABLE TO HELP PEOPLE FIND IT.

Planning a dinner? River float? Camping trip? Birthday party? Game night? Pool day? Group outing? Private get-together? Or something else you think FoE members would enjoy?

We may be able to list or promote approved Member-Hosted Events through Friends of Ellis so other members can discover them and get involved.

A Member-Hosted Event is different from an official Friends of Ellis event. The member or organizer hosting it is responsible for the event, its location, planning, costs, guest arrangements, and any requirements that apply to it. FoE listing or sharing the event does not mean Friends of Ellis is producing, staffing, supervising, or assuming responsibility for it.

We will not post everything, and anything shared through FoE still needs to make sense for the community. But if you have something fun in mind, send it to us.

We'll look at what it would take, whether it fits FoE, and what kind of help actually makes sense.

Maybe FoE runs it. Maybe we partner. Maybe we support you. Maybe we tell you it's not a fit. Either way, you'll know.

We're adventurous. We're not reckless.

FoE is open to creative ideas, but every project still has to make sense.

Venue rules matter. Safety matters. Consent matters. Privacy matters. Costs matter. Insurance, liability and local requirements may matter.

Sometimes the answer will be, "Hell yes."

Sometimes it'll be, "That's cool, but we can't touch that one."

Either answer starts with the same thing: ask.

THIS ISN'T JUST FOR BIG EVENTS.

You don't need 200 guests or a ballroom before it's worth talking to us.
